GIANLUCA CAPANNOLO

Gianluca Capannolo was born in L'Aquila in 1972 and is the creator of the eponymous brand. In 1993 he graduated from the Koefia Academy of High Fashion in Rome and from 1994 he worked for Lambros Milon also collaborating in the collection of Bagutta and Fratelli Rossetti and then as first assistant designer and production manager at Maurizio Pecoraro. In 2001, after a long stay in South America, where he came into contact with traditional local handicrafts, he was asked to design Amano: a new women's collection made in Peru, the result of the fusion of traditional South American craftsmanship and Italian avant-garde. The 2004 Spring / Summer season saw the launch of the Gianluca Capannolo label, acclaimed by the consent of the major international buyers.
